Carol oversees the planning and delivery of X-energy’s project portfolio and currently also serves as the Project Control Centre Director for Project Long Mott, X-energy’s first project with Dow at their Seadrift facility in Texas.

Carol joined X-energy in September 2022, initially to establish the company in the UK and lay the foundations for bringing our first UK project.

Prior to joining the company, Carol served as the Operational Readiness Control Centre Director for the highly successful Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation’s (ENEC) start-up of the Barakah Nuclear Plants in the United Arab Emirates. She was also the ENEC Operations Director of Strategic Programs.

In early 2023, she graduated with Distinction from the University of Oxford with an MSc. in Major Programme Management. Carol’s research focuses on causes of poor performance on nuclear megaprojects and potential benefits of adopting Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) as a means of improving nuclear megaproject performance. In December 2024, she was awarded the UK Nuclear Institute’s prestigious Pinkerton Prize for the best technical paper published in their professional journal, Nuclear Future.
