Tim Bendt
Timothy Bendt is the Vice President of Contracts & Procurement at X-energy, responsible for leading enterprise-wide contracting strategy, and procurement operations. With over 30 years of experience, he brings deep expertise in contract negotiation, risk mitigation, compliance, and cost optimization across complex vendor engagements. In this role, Tim partners closely with executive leadership, legal, finance, and operations to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, improve vendor engagement, and ensure contractual integrity while supporting long-term business objectives.
He is recognized for guiding organizations through complex federal, state, local, commercial, and international contracting environments. As Vice President of Contracts & Procurement at X-energy, he oversees a multi-entity portfolio across the U.S., Canada, and the UK, directing a 41-member department responsible for contracts, subcontracts, and purchasing operations.
In this capacity, Tim is responsible for shaping the department’s vision and aligning procurement strategies with organizational goals. He champions process improvements, ensures regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and fosters a culture of collaboration and accountability within his team.
Prior to joining X-energy, Tim held senior roles at multiple companies including ActioNet, Energy Enterprise Solutions, and SAIC, where he delivered measurable improvements in cost savings, contract lifecycle efficiency, and supplier governance. Tim holds an MBA in International Business with concentrations in international finance and economics from The George Washington University, and a BS in Economics and Finance from the University of Maryland. He is known for building high-performing teams and fostering strong, ethical supplier relationships.
