X-energy, Energy Northwest, and Grant County Public Utility District recently established a mutual partnership, called the TRi Energy Partnership, to support the development and commercial demonstration of X-energy’s advanced nuclear reactor, the Xe-100. ClearPath Executive Director Rich Powell moderated a panel with the three companies to discuss the design and their role in the ARDP.

US Department of Energy Announces Program to Accelerate Advanced Reactors
On May 14, 2020, the DOE announced its Advanced Demonstration Reactor Program to support the development of advanced nuclear technologies in the United States. The DOE will disperse $230 million in initial funding and expects to release billions of dollars in awards over the lifetime of the program.
