We are a nuclear reactor & fuel design engineering company
We develop Generation IV high-temp gas cooled nuclear reactors & the TRISO-X fuel to power them.
Our Reactors
We are designing the safest, most efficient and most advanced small modular reactors for a wide range of global markets & applications.
Our Fuel
We use TRISO particle fuel. We manufacture our own proprietary version (TRISO-X) to ensure supply & quality control.
Sized for the Future
Xe-100 is a 80 MWe reactor that can be scaled into a ‘four-pack’ 320 MWe power plant—with our modular design, the scale can grow even larger as needed.
Our base model is 80 MWe
Geographic Flexibility
As a leading entry in a class of small modular reactors (SMRs) our design brings nuclear power within reach for countries, utilities & communities.
Deployment @ Point of Need
Affordability
Our elegant and simple design maximizes the use of off-the-shelf components manufactured and shipped to site using existing road & rail.
Smart Design = Simplified Effort
Safety First
With a simple design, meltdown-proof ‘walk-away’ safety, and the most robust encapsulated fuel, our approach is the safest and most secure of the Gen-IV approaches.
Our Reactors = 400 meters Safety Perimeter (vs 10 miles!)
Our reactor and fuel combination rely on physics and not mechanical or electrical systems to guarantee safety.
Safety
Our Reactors
Our reactors do not rely on any active systems, electrical power or human actions to ensure safety i.e., the reactor will shut down using passive means (negative temperature coefficient) and heat can be dissipated through passive means (as a result of the low power density).
Safety
Our Fuel
Advanced Reactors should provide simple, safe operation and at no additional cost. Our TRISO-X Fuel does just that. It can withstand temperatures about four times greater than conventional nuclear fuel, and it cannot melt.
We’re on track to deploy commercial reactors, not research concepts
The Xe-100’s compact form factor and meltdown-proof engineering are a total reimagining of what a nuclear reactor can be and more importantly what it will be by 2027.

We’re Hiring
Developing state-of-the-art, high technology solutions for reactors and fuel requires both traditional nuclear and non-traditional engineering skills and experience. We’re looking for capabilities in solution development, multi-disciplinary analysis, systems engineering, facility design, test planning, logistics, management, and system integration.
