ROCKVILLE, Maryland, July 11, 2022 – X-energy today announced the addition of Matt Welsh to the company’s leadership team as Chief Information Officer, effective immediately. Welsh will be responsible for executing enterprise-wide technology decisions and defining and managing the company’s technology roadmap to drive overall technology-focused priorities.

Welsh joins X-energy after 11 years at Peraton where he most recently held the positions of Vice President of Government Infrastructure Services and Program Manager for DHS Data Center and Cloud Optimization. Prior to Peraton, he held positions at Booz Allen Hamilton, Electronic Data Systems, Northrop Grumman, US Airways, and Anderson & Associates.

Welsh is a graduate of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and holds a Master’s of Science in Information Systems from George Washington University. He also earned an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate from Stanford University.
