ROCKVILLE, Maryland, August 16, 2022 – X-energy today announced that Mark Mize has joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he will oversee all corporate financial functions including identifying and accessing capital markets, managing relationships with key banking partners, and developing and driving the company’s long-term financial strategy.
“X-energy is growing, and Mark brings our company the experience we need to access and evaluate capital options to help drive and accelerate deployment and expansion of the nuclear fleet for our customers,” said X-energy CEO Clay Sell. “Mark will help us navigate our current and future capital needs and brings extensive knowledge and expertise to achieve the objectives outlined in our business plan.”
Prior to X-energy, Mize served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer at multiple public and private companies, including Petrohawk Energy where he managed the company’s $15 billion acquisition by BHP Billiton. He earlier held positions at RPA Advisors, Cabot Oil & Gas, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
