As Senior Vice President of Global Business Development and Deputy Chief Commercial Officer of X-energy, Dr. Reinke acts as the head of corporate-wide business development activities. He is responsible for all commercial reactor business development and sales – strategy and marketing, analytics, organizational management, customer relationship development, contract negotiations, capture management, and early-phase project management. In this capacity, he also serves as principal deputy to the Chief Commercial Officer of X-energy in the management and oversight of key functions within DevCo., including Global Business Development, Project Management, Supply Chain/Strategic Sourcing, and Project Finance. Dr. Reinke provides strategic direction to the functions to enable X-energy’s end-to-end project deployment model, from customer origination through project delivery.
Dr. Reinke originally joined X-energy as the Senior Director for Corporate Strategy and Advisor to the CEO, leading long-term strategic planning for the company and supporting key functions ranging from business planning to business development, and strategic partnerships to strategic supplier relations. He later assumed the role of Vice President for Global Business Development.
Dr. Reinke is an energy executive with expertise in science and innovation, clean energy technology development, nuclear systems, critical minerals and materials, space science and technology, and the nexus of energy security and national security. His leadership, management, business development, and policy experiences span the private sector, both the legislative and executive branches, and academia.
Dr. Reinke holds his Ph.D. and M.S. in nuclear engineering, as well as his B.S. in physics and French from the Ohio State University, where he was a NASA Space Technology Research Fellow and a Nuclear Regulatory Commission Fellow.
