Laura Garcia joined X-energy as Vice President, Corporate Controller in December 2022. She brings over 20 years of experience in financial and accounting operations of public companies, with the ability to direct the company’s accounting processes while achieving and maintaining strong internal controls.

Prior to joining X-energy, Ms. Garcia held numerous leadership positions of increasing responsibilities at publicly traded upstream oil and natural gas companies including Halcón Resources Corporation, Petrohawk Energy Corporation, and Occidental Petroleum Corporation. She began her career in public accounting at Andersen LLP and KPMG LLP.

Ms. Garcia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.
