Randy Eubanks
Vice President, Quality
As Vice President, Quality at X-energy, Randy Eubanks directs the implementation and execution of the company’s Quality Assurance, Safety, Health and Environmental programs. Randy brings more that 27 years of industry experience in the government, US Navy, and commercial nuclear sectors.
Prior to X-energy, he was the senior quality manager for nuclear oversight of the OPG Darlington New Nuclear Plant project and the US Department of Energy Versatile Test Reactor, and led the 10 CFR Part 21 Defects and Noncompliance Program for GE Hitachi. As the GE Hitachi Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Manager, he led large multi-discipline engineering teams in the execution of $42 million in commercial contracts, including Digital Power Range Neutron Monitoring upgrades, utility power uprates, and remote spent fuel pool level monitoring projects.
As the past Lead Control Account Manager for the Materials and Fuels Complex at the Idaho National Laboratory, Randy managed work package and budget schedules totaling more than $50 million. He managed accounts that included 8 nuclear facilities, Production Control, Project Integration, Engineering, ES&H, Quality Assurance and MFC Complex Management.
His nuclear industry experience also includes service as a US Navy Nuclear Program Mechanical Operator and Leading Engineering Laboratory Technician aboard the fast-attack submarine USS Birmingham SSN-695 (Pearl Harbor, Hawaii) and at the S5G Naval Reactor Facility Prototype (Idaho National Laboratory). Following his Naval service, he served as a Senior Chemistry Technician at the American Electric Power DC Cook Nuclear Plant.
Randy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He holds the PMI Project Management Professional credential, as well the ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence credential.
