Robert Taylor
Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Licensing
Robert M. Taylor brings over 20 years of experience from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to his role as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Licensing at X-Energy.
Prior to joining X-energy, he served as the Deputy Office Director for New Reactors at the NRC, where he led a team of engineers, scientists, and project managers in overseeing nationally significant nuclear projects. His responsibilities included preparing for the review of next-generation advanced nuclear reactors, licensing small modular reactors, and ensuring the safety of the nation’s nuclear power plants. Throughout his career at the NRC, Mr. Taylor held several key leadership roles, contributing to the licensing and oversight of new nuclear power plant construction, medical isotope production facilities, and research reactors.
Taylor holds master's and bachelor's degrees in chemical engineering from West Virginia University.
